Με μεγάλη χαρά σας ανακοινώνω το επίσημο πλέον πρόγραμμα της προσκυνηματικής μας εκδρομής στα άγια χώματα της Λαικής Δημοκρατίας της Κίνας και της Βορείου Κορέας.Οπως θα δείτε, έχει προστεθεί μια μέρα στην Xian για να δούμε τον περίφημο πήλινο στρατό και στην τιμή συμπεριλάβαμε όλα σχεδόν τα γεύματα να να έχουμε ξεκάθαρο το κόστος. Με συμμετοχές 8 ατόμων το κόστος μαζί με τα εισιτήρια της EMIRATES δεν θα ξεπεράσει τα 2.500euro+ την visa της Κίνας + τα προσωπικά έξοδα, ποσό που είναι ρεαλιστικότατο σχετικά με το μέγεθος και τις ιδιαιτερότητες του ταξιδιού.
Εννοείται ότι το πρόγραμμα, εκτός του σκέλους της Β.Κορέας είναι εντελώς ευέλικτο και μπορεί κάποιος να προσθαφαιρέσει κάτι ανεβάζοντας ή κατεβάζοντας το συνολικό κόστος.
Το άλλο ευχάριστο είναι ότι η visa της Β.Κορέας θα εκδοθεί στην Αγγλία και θα την παραλάβουμε μαζί με τα εισιτήρια της Air Koryo εδώ στην Ελλάδα ένα περίπου μήνα πριν την αναχώρηση.Γλιτώνουμε έτσι και το τρέξιμο στο Πεκίνο.

Thursday 20th September
Today your arrangements will start with your arrival in Beijing at 1445 on flight EK306. Upon arrival in Beijing you will be met at the airport and transferred to the centrally located Hotel Xinqiao, part of the Novotel
chain. This hotel is used a great deal by Regent clients and is located within walking distance of the main central sights
such as Tiananmen Square, and is also very close to numerous shops, restaurants and a metro station. You will have the
rest of the day free at leisure in Beijing.
2 Friday 21st September
Today enjoy a guided excursion out of Beijing to the Great Wall at Badaling. Badaling, 70km
north-west of Beijing is the most popular site for those wishing to visit the Great Wall as this site was restored to its former
glory in 1957. After lunch depart to the Ming tombs, a major tomb site where 13 of the 16 Ming emperors are buried. This
massive 40 square kilometre area contains grandeur to a massive scale and is a fascinating visit before departing Beijing.
After the visit to the Ming visit a Cloisonne factory before transferring back to the city and enjoying a traditional Beijing
Duck dinner. The night will be spent back at your hotel, the Novotel Hotel Xinqiao.
3 Saturday 22nd September
This morning take an early breakfast and hotel check out to meet at 0800 your driver in the lobby of the hotel for your transfer to the airport. Here you will depart Beijing on the 1130 Air Koryo flight to Pyongyang.
The short flight (80-90 minutes) will bring you into Pyongyang at 1400 local time, and after passing through immigration and customs you will meet your guides and driver who will be with you for the rest of your time in Korea.From the airport make the journey out of the suburbs into central Pyongyang, and check in at the Yanggakdo Hotel, the
47 storey hotel where you will be based whilst in Pyongyang. This afternoon you will enjoy a performance in one of Pyongyang’s ever-entertaining circuses. On one of your nights in North Korea you will attend the Arirang Festival, and standard (3rd Class) tickets are included in your package price.
4 Sunday 23rd September
Today enjoy the day sightseeing in Pyongyang. Sites will include the impressive 170m tall Juche Tower, Kim Il Sung Square, the Mansudae Grand Monument, Arch of Triumph, Grand People’s Study House,
Mangyondae, the Metro and USS Pueblo. The Juche Tower is a symbol of the Juche Idea (national self reliance, literally “Master of one’s self”) penned by Kim Il Sung. Those who wish can pay a small fee (5 Euros in 2006) and be whisked via a lift to the top of the Tower for spectacular views over the city. At the Mansudae Grand Monument, the centre piece of which is the spectacular 20 metre
tall bronze statue of Kim Il Sung - where you be expected to lay a wreath of flowers at the foot of the statue, visited bymillions each year, before bowing in unison before it with your guides.After lunch on board the Pyongyang Boat No.1, visit the Grand People’s study house (the national library and home to 30 million volumes), where you will tour the massive complex. From here head into the suburbs and visit the Mangyondae Native House (birthplace of Kim Il Sung) before moving underground for a quick ride on the very deep, clean and
beautifully decorated Pyongyang Metro. Last stop of the day will be to board the “USS Pueblo”, the 850 ton US spy boat
captured in 1968 by the Koreans. The Pueblo is now moored on the Taedong River, near the spot were in 1866 the US trade ship “General Sherman” was sunk.
5 Monday 24th September
This morning depart Pyongyang and head south to Kaesong, gateway to the DMZ and, after
reunification, Seoul. Shortly after passing through Kaesong, you will arrive in Panmunjom - the DMZ, and border with
South Korea. Upon arrival at Panmunjom, which is often the highlight of any visit to North Korea, you will meet with an
army escort who will explain the background of the history of the DMZ, before you move on to the Armistice Talks Hall
and the building (and attached small museum) where the Armistice was signed. From here head right down to the border
itself, where you will be (local conditions permitting) escorted, under the watchful eye of the South Korean soldiers, into
one of the huts which straddles the North-South Korean border.
Returning to Kaesong visit the tomb of King Kongmin, one of North Korea’s most impressive tombs, housing the 31st King
of Koryo and his Mongolian Wife. After lunch at the Folkcustoms Hotel visit the Koryo Museum, before making the journey
back to Pyongyang. On arrival in Pyongyang you will transfer to one of the cities many fine restaurants to enjoy a farewell dinner with your guides.
6 Tuesday 25th September
This morning your short trip to the DPRK comes to an end when you transfer to the airport and depart Pyongyang on the 0810 Air Koryo flight to Beijing, arriving into Beijing at 0930. Upon arrival you will be met and
transferred to your hotel, the Novotel Xinqiao, for a one night stay with breakfast. After checking in enjoy an excursion of some of the highlights of Beijing. The tour will start in Tiananmen Square, the worlds largest square. This is the site where numerous cultural revolution rallies took place and where the infamous massacre of 1989 took place. Surrounding the square lie numerous monuments such as Tiananmen Gate, the Chinese Revolutionary History Museum and the Mao Mausoleum. To the north of the Tiananmen Square lies the forbidden city, the largest and best preserved cluster of ancient buildings in China. Off limits to commoners for 500 years the complex was home to both the Ming and Qing dynasties. After the forbidden city and lunch the excursion continues with a visit to the Panda Hall at Beijing’s Zoo, followed by the Summer Palace. The summer Palace, one of Beijing’s most visited sights, contains Qing architecture and was the traditional summer residency for those if the forbidden city. After visiting the summer palace enjoy a traditional meal before enjoying an evening at the Beijing Opera.
7 Wednesday 26th September
This morning you will be transferred to the airport to depart Beijing on the CA1203 flight to Xian (flight not included). On arrival in Xian you will commence a tour of the city, with visits to the Terra Cotta Warriors,
Huaqing Spring, the Great Mosque and the Muslim Quarter. The excursion will include lunch and dinner. The night will be spent in the Xian Bell Tower Hotel, and the room includes breakfast.
8 Thursday 27th September
This morning you will be transferred to the airport to depart Xian on the CA1215 flight to Shanghai (flight not included). On arrival in Shanghai you will be transferred to your hotel and commence a tour of the
city, taking in the Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden and the Old Town. The excursion will include dinner and you will spend the following two nights (with breakfast) at the Shanghai Peace Palace Hotel.
9 Friday 28th September
Today enjoy the day free in Shanghai.
10 Saturday 29th September
Today (Time TBC) you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight from China.
