Και να συμπληρώσουμε πως μάγκας ο πιλότος που κατάφερε με απώλεια ελέγχου του αεροσκάφους να το προσγειώσει όπως-όπως και να σωθούν έστω και κάποιοι
It has now been officially confirmed by Azerbaijan Officials after inspection of the wreckage by crash investigators that the Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer was indeed targeted and hit by a 57E6 guided missile fired from a 96K6 Pantsir-S1(SA22 Greyhound) short range air defence system. At the time of the incident the aircraft was passing over Chechnyan territory heading for it destination of Grozny which at the time was undergoing numerous attacks by Ukrainian drones which Russian air defence forces were actively trying to shoot down.
After being damaged and despite numerous requests by the flight crew to make an emergency landing permission was refused
and the aircraft was ordered to leave the local airspace and head away from the conflict area. This left the crew with little option but to fly their crippled aircraft across the Caspian Sea towards Aktau where they eventually crashed. While doing so ground forces were actively jamming GPS and ADS-B data.
According to sources the Government is to lodge a formal complaint citing the complete circumstances for firing on an unarmed civil
aircraft, the refusal of allowing an emergency landing at the nearest airport, and the ordering of a damaged aircraft to fly out over open sea.
